While Chris Brown has always made it clear that he looks to Michael Jackson for inspiration, there are nearly as many parallels to be made between Brown and Usher. And last weekend, Breezy joined Usher on stage during the Reggae SumFest 2010 in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The duo wowed audiences in the concluding night of the festival.

Brown had already performed his own set on Friday, tearing through songs like “Run It” and “Forever” and showing off his formidable dancing skills. But it was his surprise appearance during Usher’s set the following day that really set the crowd off. According to TheChrisBrownBlog.com, the two were also joined onstage by Elephant Man and later engaged in a dance-off.

Video footage from the performance had not surfaced online at press time, but photos reveal the two singing together and even showing some affection with an onstage hug.

Brown took to Twitter Saturday to thank Jamaica. “I wanna thank you Jamaica for your wonderful embrace last night at the show,” he wrote. “Next time well do passa passa … lmao … (oh hell naw). Love ya!”

Later on Saturday, he tweeted about performing with Usher. “Me and Usher killin Jamaica right now,” he wrote.

When Chris burst on the music scene five years ago, he was overcome with excitement when meeting Usher. “To see him face-to-face, I was like, ‘OK, Chris, it’s gonna be all right, just chill out right quick. You about to do the song, man, don’t be no punk,’ ” Brown told MTV News about recording a song that was later featured in Usher’s 2005 film “In the Mix.”

As a journalist, you love hearing the person you’re interviewing say, “I don’t know if I’m supposed to say this …” That almost always means they’re about to talk what we call “good ish.” Last week in Atlanta on the video set for Drake’s “Fancy,” Drizzy dropped a jewel on us: Lil Wayne rapped for him over the phone again.

The last time Weezy kicked a verse on the jack from Rikers Island, it wound up being a super-underground, added-on remix verse for “Light Up.” This time, the New Orleans Fireman gave his Young Money family member a preview of Tha Carter IV.

“He called me the other day from jail and rapped me two verses, man,” Drake said. “It really made me, like, ‘I gotta do something different. I gotta get sh– together,’ because he’s really got bars and he’s rapping from a broader life perspective, saying these things people love to hear.”

Drake also revealed that, although he wasn’t aware of the title of Weezy’s September EP I’m Not A Human Being at the time, he’s definitively a featured guest.

“I’m on it,” Drake said. While our talk continued with the 23-year-old Toronto native, he also said that his mentor was in that rare space where fans loved him no matter what.

“It’s gonna transfer over to whatever he does,” Drake said of Weezy’s following. “They’re waiting for that new Wayne. I don’t know if people are waiting for that new Drake. Thank Me Later was great — it was phenomenal things I’ve never seen, like people lining up. But it might have just been the moment — that’s yet to be proven. But Wayne is just a proven artist. There’s no doubt in my mind that people are waiting for that I’m Not a Human Being, that Carter IV, that Wayne and Drake album. All that!”

Eminem worries he will become an embarrassment to his daughters.

The ‘We Made You’ hitmaker - who raises his 14-year-old child Hailie, 17-year-old adopted niece Alaina and former wife Kim’s seven-year-old girl Whitney - admits it is growing increasingly different to show his love for the trio as they get older.

He said: “It’s a catch-22: I want to, as a father, express my love for my girls, but I don’t want to go too far with it, where it becomes a hindrance in their lives. When they were younger… it was easier.”

The 37-year-old star - whose records have infamously mocked other people in the public eye - has previously battled an addiction to prescription drugs and admits his problems started when he “ran out” of enemies to target.

He explained to Spin magazine: “I was trapped in my head. I’d spent most of my career going against the grain. Calling bulls**t. And suddenly, I started running out of enemies.

“I started to become that cliche - my own worst enemy.”

The Detroit-born star also revealed he sometimes goes back to the poverty-stricken neighbourhood where he grew up to remind himself of how far he has come in life.

He said: “It may sound corny, but I’ll go by and try to remember how things were when I was in those houses.

“I’ll go back and remember, like, f**k, man, how life was back then. How much of a struggle it was. As time goes by, you might get content and forget things.”

USC Will Return The Heisman Trophy Won By Reggie Bush Back In 2005!

Yahoo.com has reported the USC will return the Heisman Trophy won by Reggie Bush back in 2005.

“The University of Southern California will return the Heisman Trophy won by former star tailback Reggie Bush in 2005, incoming university president C.L. Max Nikias announced Tuesday.

USC will return Bush’s trophy to the Heisman Trophy Trust next month and will take down any jerseys or murals recognizing the former star.

Nikias delivered the news in a memorandum, adding that he has instructed the athletic department to remove murals of Bush and former basketball star O.J. Mayo from university grounds. Improper benefits taken by Bush and Mayo during their time at USC prompted wide-ranging NCAA sanctions leveled against the school last month.

Nikias also announced that athletic director Mike Garrett would be replaced by former Trojans star quarterback Pat Haden and that the school would take other steps to ensure compliance with NCAA rules.

Said Nikias in his memo: “The Trojan family honors and respects the USC sporting careers of those persons whose actions did not compromise their athletic program or the opportunities of future USC student-athletes. Accordingly, I have instructed the senior vice president for administration to remove athletic jerseys and murals displayed in recognition of O.J. Mayo and Reggie Bush by mid-August – before the incoming class of students moves on campus – from Heritage Hall, the Galen Center , and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The university will also return Mr. Bush’s 2005 Heisman Trophy to the Heisman Trophy Trust in August.”

The Heisman Trophy Trust’s eight voting members will meet July 27 to determine what to do with Bush’s trophy. Members of the Trust declined comment on that meeting, and as of Tuesday afternoon they were still unaware of USC’s plans to return Bush’s Heisman. Whether such an unprecedented move will sway the Trust’s decision on Bush’s trophy remains to be seen.

As for Garrett, his tenure as USC’s athletic director appeared to be on shaky ground in recent months, with the impending departure of school President Steven B. Sample in August. Sample hired Garrett in 1993. Garrett’s standing took another hit last month, after the school’s football program was dealt arguably the harshest non-death penalty sanctions in the history of the NCAA.

His ouster completes sweeping change in the athletic department over the last 13 months, including the resignation of basketball coach Tim Floyd in June of 2009 and the departure of football coach Pete Carroll in January.”

In a recent interview with BlackVoices, Kim spoke her mind about all three of them.

Regarding a possible reconciliation with Fox Boogie Kim had this to say:

“I don’t even want to mention her. No, because she’s just somebody that’s just. …No, I don’t even want to mention her. One moment she got something bad to say about me, one moment she got something good to say. I don’t like that flip flop sh–, that just means that you’re still crazy! My mom always told me if you know there’s a snake in the grass, and you know it’s a snake that bit you before, why would you pick it back up? I’m not picking back up anymore snakes no more.”

When asked if she and her former partner in rhyme from the group Junior M.A.F.I.A., Lil Cease had patched up their differences she simply said “No”. But she added she does have unfinished business from her time with the group.

“I’m coming back to get the money that I left on the table when I went to jail. The money that I left on the table when me and [Junior] M.A.F.I.A. broke up. The money that I left on the table after Biggie died, I’m coming back to get all of it. And not only that, I’m coming back to give my fans what they truly deserve, this is for them.”

Kim’s biggest issues of late have been with Young Money femcee, Nicki Minaj who she feels has copied her style and run with it.

People may be surprised to hear that Kim actually has a good relationship with 1/2 of Cash Money’s upper management. She told Blackvoices that her relationship Ronald “Slim” Williams goes back 4 or 5 years.

However, things aren’t so rosy with Birdman. Kim claims she recorded a song for a Birdman project titled “Grinding Making Money” which also included Nicki Minaj. She says Baby didn’t like the fact that she outshined Nicki on the record so they stopped pushing the record. That didn’t sit well with Kim.

“When they put the record out, I guess the response that they got for her wasn’t what they wanted because everybody was saying that I smashed the record. So [Baby] pulled the record back. They f—ing sh—ed on me!? Ok, now it’s time, now it’s war, because I’m tired. I’m tired of people taking advantage of me and being quiet and people don’t know what’s going on.”

At just eleven-years-old Shannon Tavarez (a native of Queens) already had a promising Broadway career performing four shows a week as Young Nala in DISNEY’S The Lion King. Shannon juggled a full day of school before rushing to the Minskoff Theatre - - she was living her dream. Now, just two months later, Shannon’s dream is simply to grow up and return to her normal life. In April, Shannon was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia. The talented young star was performing on stage when the symptoms first hit. Her lower back and legs suddenly started hurting making it difficult for her to perform or even walk. “When I found out, it hit me really hard, like someone was throwing a ball at me. It was shocking and I thought, why me?” said Shannon.

Now, Shannon lives at Cohen Children’s Medical Centerl in Long Island where she receives daily chemotherapy treatments. A bone marrow transplant from a stranger may be her only chance at survival. DKMS, together with The Lion King, Disney Theatrical Productions and Shannon’s family and friends are organizing two bone marrow drives in New York City: Sunday July 18, 10AM-4PM (*St. Malachy’s – The Actors’ Chapel, Encore Senior Center, 239 West 49th Street) and Friday, July 23, 10AM-3PM (Broadway’s *Minskoff Theatre, home of Disney’s The Lion King, 200 West 45th Street). Come out and register with DKMS and meet the cast and crew of The Lion King on July 23.

Shannon’s mother is African-American and her father is Dominican. Only eight percent of the seven million registered donors are African-American, which means that only 17 percent of African Americans in need of a transplant will actually receive one.

Every day, thousands of patients search the national registry in hope of a bone marrow donor match. Sadly, six out of 10 patients will never receive a transplant. “We have to fight harder. I feel like it’s my obligation to do whatever I can do recruit more donors,” states Katharina Harf, Co-founder, DKMS Americas, “I lost my mother to leukemia, but others can live if we only had enough donors. Register with DKMS today so Shannon doesn’t have to keep her dream waiting.”

Registering to become a bone marrow donor starts with a simple cheek swab; it is a commitment to help save a life. Donors must be between 18 and 55 and in good general health and meet the eligibility requirements. Upon completion of a simple registration form, prospective donors will receive a swab (with a cotton-tip) of the inside the cheek to collect cheek cells which identify HLA tissue-type. If prospective donors are found to be a match, a DKMS representative will contact them to answer an extended health questionnaire. At that point, a scheduled blood test and physical examination will ultimately determine if those candidates are in fact, the best suitable donors. When prospective donors register with DKMS, they will also be listed on the national registry (operated by the NMDP) and to be a possible donor match for any patient in need of a bone marrow transplant.

THE stunned black dad of a newborn, WHITE, baby girl declared yesterday — “I’m sure she’s my kid … I just don’t know why she’s BLONDE.”

TheSun.co.uk: British Nmachi Ihegboro has amazed genetics experts who say the little girl is NOT an albino.

Dad Ben, 44, a customer services adviser, admitted: “We both just sat there after the birth staring at her.”

Mum Angela, 35, of Woolwich, South London, beamed as she said: “She’s beautiful - a miracle baby.”

Ben told yesterday how he was so shocked when Nmachi was born, he even joked: “Is she MINE?”

He added: “Actually, the first thing I did was look at her and say, ‘What the flip?’”

But as the baby’s older brother and sister - both black - crowded round the “little miracle” at their home in South London, Ben declared: “Of course she’s mine.”

Blue-eyed blonde Nmachi, whose name means “Beauty of God” in the Nigerian couple’s homeland, has baffled genetics experts because neither Ben nor wife Angela have ANY mixed-race family history.

Pale genes skipping generations before cropping up again could have explained the baby’s appearance.

Ben also stressed: “My wife is true to me. Even if she hadn’t been, the baby still wouldn’t look like that.

“We both just sat there after the birth staring at her for ages - not saying anything.”

Doctors at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup - where Angela, from nearby Woolwich, gave birth - have told the parents Nmachi is definitely no albino.

Ben, who came to Britain with his wife five years ago and works for South Eastern Trains, said: “She doesn’t look like an albino child anyway - not like the ones I’ve seen back in Nigeria or in books. She just looks like a healthy white baby.”

He went on: “My mum is a black Nigerian although she has a bit fairer skin than mine.

“But we don’t know of any white ancestry. We wondered if it was a genetic twist.

“But even then, what is with the long curly blonde hair?”

Professor Bryan Sykes, head of Human Genetics at Oxford University and Britain’s leading expert, yesterday called the birth “extraordinary”.

He said: “In mixed race humans, the lighter variant of skin tone may come out in a child - and this can sometimes be startlingly different to the skin of the parents.

“This might be the case where there is a lot of genetic mixing, as in Afro-Caribbean populations. But in Nigeria there is little mixing.”

Prof Sykes said BOTH parents would have needed “some form of white ancestry” for a pale version of their genes to be passed on.

But he added: “The hair is extremely unusual. Even many blonde children don’t have blonde hair like this at birth.”

The expert said some unknown mutation was the most likely explanation.

He admitted: “The rules of genetics are complex and we still don’t understand what happens in many cases.”

The amazing birth comes five years after Kylie Hodgson became mum to twin daughters - one white and the other black - in Nottingham.

Kylie, now 23, and her partner Remi Horder, now 21, are both mixed race.

Even so the odds were estimated at a million to one.

The Sun told in 2002 how a white couple had Asian twins after a sperm mix-up by a fertility clinic.

Yesterday three-day-old Nmachi’s churchgoing mum Angela admitted that she was “speechless” at first seeing her baby girl, who was delivered in a caesarean op.

She said: “I thought, ‘What is this little doll?’

“She’s beautiful and I love her. Her colour doesn’t matter. She’s a miracle baby.

“But still, what on earth happened here?”

Her husband told how their son Chisom, four, was even more confused than them by his new sister.

Ben said: “Our other daughter Dumebi is only two so she’s too young to understand.

“But our boy keeps coming to look at his sister and then sits down looking puzzled.

“We’re a black family. Suddenly he has a white sister.”

Ben continued: “Of course, we are baffled too and want to know what’s happened. But we understand life is very strange.

“All that matters is that she’s healthy and that we love her.She’s a proud British Nigerian.”

Lil Wayne recently gave his thoughts from Rikers Island on LeBron James’ move to Miami and the recent NBA acquistions. Read the full letter below:

Oh Lebron! The recent move by the Miami Heat confirms that we will someday soon have that good ole basketball back with all due respect to the Lakers-Celtics 7 game series. This move reminds me of the days when it was Johnson, Worthy, and Jabbar vs. Bird, Parrish, and McHale, or Thomas, Dumars, and Lambeer. Well now we have Bryant, Gasol, Bynum, and Pierce, Allen, Garnett, and ultimately, Wade, bosh, and James! Do expect this to become “protocol” to win an NBA title. As for many more teams have and will be stacking their rosters with stars.

I believe that this Miami team will be explosive as intended. Anything less than an NBA championship title will be uncivilized. 72-10 anybody?. Well with Wade at the 1 and Lebron at the 2 or vice versa even, or Mario Chalmers at the 1, Wade at the 2, and Bron at the 3… Wow! Not to mention that I didn’t mention Bosh, who can live at the 4 or 5. Zone defense will be a must against this team. That’s 3 players on the court that commands a double team. Just imagine those guys on a fast break, the defender back peadaling… Wade can take it to the hole or throw it up and you know Bron. Bron is going to get it… or dish it back to a trailing Chris Bosh who will definitely finish at the rim… again, wow! Or how about Wade at the 3-point line, Bosh setting the pick, and Lebron in the passing lane. And if you collapse on them, don’t forget that Chalmers can knock down the shot. I bet that they lead the league in alley-oops. And they’re all young! Scary! Hey, what if Pat Riley returns to the sidelines and it ends up being the Lakers vs. Heat in the finals? Riley vs. Jackson! Epic! Gasol on Bosh, Ron-Ron on Bron-Bron, and Kobe on Wade… wow!

Also, beware of the Bulls. Boozer will fit in well because they’re similar to Utah in many ways. A nice guard surrounded by the shooters. With the addiction of Korrer and Rose should be able to shine brighter. The Bulls led the league in the rebounds last season and I’m sure they will again with Boozer and Noah.

Boston is the team of bad knees! With J. O’neal joining the squad, it adds another big man but his knees are always questionable. So is Garnett’s and now Perkins. But still expect them to do well in the east.

The Knicks are injury prone as well. Not only are their spirits injured from not getting The King, but Amare’s an injury threat as well as Turiaf and Randolph. If they can stay healthy, then expect Amare and Randolph to be beasts in the paint. Raymond Felton is no Steve Nash but he’s a solid point guard. He should do well with Stoudemire. I’m not sure about Orlando in the east this upcoming season. I mean Duhon isn’t exactly a good move but it has potential.

As for the West, Minnesota is stacked now with Beasley, Jefferson, Love, and Milicic. Golden State looks good with Curry and Lee. Though I’m not sure if we can expect Lee to brab all these boards in the west. Too many big men. As for the east is full of guards.

I can’t wait to see how teams stack up next season when those other big name players hit the market. Maybe Melo and Tony Parker to the Knicks? Or Chris Paul and Derrin Williams to the Lakers? They’re gonna have to do something! Good ole basketball.

Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz Suppose To Get Married Wednesday Also Alicia Keys Get Rid Of Her Manager!

(AllHipHop News) More gossip on the relationship between Hip-Hop producer Swizz Beatz and R&B singer Alicia Keys is hitting the Internet.

Reports that Swizz Beatz now plays a major role in Keys’ career are surfacing, just days after Keys split with her longtime manager, Jeff Robinson of MBK Entertainment.

Robinson and his company MBK have managed Alicia Keys’ career for over ten years according to a statement released by Robinson and Keys on Friday (July 16th).

According to the statement, Keys and Robinson decided to “change the structure of their business relationship,” allowing Keys to “oversee all aspects of her own personal career.”

Keys’ company AK Worldwide will now handle the 12-time Grammy Award winning singer’s career, including touring, licensing, film, television and business development.

“This decision will allow Alicia more control over all aspects of her career from singing and songwriting, to leading many business ventures and social causes,” reads the statement.

Today (July 19th), celebrity blogger Necole Bitchie reported that the split with MBK was due to Swizz Beatz’ increased “role” in managing the direction of Alicia Keys career.

“Over the past few weeks, Its been pretty tense in house…Swizz Beatz has been there and has been taking a pretty active role of being a manager,” the source told NecoleBitchie.com. “He has been pitching her to people and he’s becoming very vocal in the direction of her career.”

The source claims that Swizz Beatz has been pushing for the release of Keys’ song and video “Put It In A Love Song,” which he wrote and co-directed.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz announced their engagement in January of 2009.

Keys is also almost six months pregnant with Swizz Beatz child. According to sources, the pair will wed this weekend.

Producer Bangledesh Talks About How He Got The “A Millie” Beat Into Lil Wayne Hands?

Bangledesh is not on the best of terms right now with Young Money as he is suing Lil Wayne for $500,000 for failure to pay him for production of “A Millie”.

He recently told Vibe, “I don’t really give a f*ck about [Wayne]. I can’t give a f*ck about somebody that don’t give a f*ck about my situation, I have kids. In the hood, people get killed for ten dollars. I couldn’t imagine owing someone hundreds of thousands of dollars and just walking around in front of them. I’m so confident in myself, that I don’t need Lil Wayne. There’s gonna be so many opportunities. I can create a Lil Wayne.”

There is no denying though, that the beat is incredible and was one of the hottest songs off of Wayne’s album ‘The Carter III”.

Bangledesh talks to VladTV about how he got the beat into Weezy’s hands.

“Basically the connection was my friend that I went to high school with, Shanell. She’s actually in Young Money now. She just knew Wayne and “A Millie” was a beat that I always wanted to play for Wayne. I had a lot of opportunities to sell it, but I always hold my beats until I want the person to hear it. Until they hear it, I can’t do nothing else with it. So I had an opportunity to play it for him and he went in on it immediately, freestyle. He’ll freestyle and just perfect it, listening back to it, like not writing.”

Bang said in his opinion Cory Gunz spit the dopest verse out of any of the countless remixes to the song.
